Round 2 report of World Youth Chess Championship, Italy 2023
U18 Open:
After the end of Round 2 two Indians ILAMPARTHI, A R, and Mayak Chakraborty have scored 2 wins
and are in the joined
lead with many others.
On the other hand, after a surprising loss in the first-round 2nd seed and International Master
PRRANEETH, Vuppala
(Who is waiting for his Grand Master title) bounced back with a smooth victory.
U16 Open :
Arjun Adireddy is the only Indian with a 2/2 score and is in joined lead as well.
U14 Open:
FIDE Master DAAKSHIN, Arun has having cent percent score and is in joined lead with others.
Dhruv Thota is trailing 1/2 point behind with 1.5 points.
DAAEVIK, Wadhawan and Yash Bharadia are on 1 point.
U18 Girls:
BHAGYASHREE, Patil is in the joined lead after defeating a highered rated opponent on round 2.
Sasvatha A with 1 point. Keerti Shree Reddy and Swara Lakshmi Nair are with 0.5 point each.
U 16 Girls:
Kheerti Ganta and Tejaswini G are among the leaders with 2 points each. Shubhi Gupta with 1.5
points. Kanishka S and Pragnya HG with 1 point each. Amulya G with
0.5 point.
U14 Girls:
Sneha Halder and Sachi Jain are among the leaders with 2 points each .
Saparya Ghosh with 1.5 points and Aswinika Mani with 1 point.
