Round 3 report of World Youth Chess Championship, Italy 2023
U18 Open:
IM ILAMPARTHI, A R is in the joint lead with a cent percent score (3/3)
Mayak Chakraborty lost to higher rated Armenian player and is on 2 points

International Master PRRANEETH, Vuppala is trying to recover from his first-round loss with a back-
to-back win and is on 2 points.

U16 Open:
ADIREDDY, Arjun is on 2.5 points after saving an almost-losing game in the 3rd round.
U14 Open:
DAKSHIN, Arun is continuing his impressive run and is in joint lead with a hundred percent
score (3/3)
U-14 girls:
On table No:3 Sneha Halder played Bird’s opening- Dutch variation against 4th seeded WIM Mou Iris
of USA . She had advantage in the middle game but missed it to convert into win.
Slowly her opponent took upper hand and won the game.
Sachi Jain and Saparya Ghosh with 2.5 points each are trailing 1/2 point behind the leaders.
Aswinika Mani and Sneha Halder are on 2 points each.
U -16 Girls:
Playing on the first board last night leaders Tejaswini G held 2nd-seeded Wang Chuqiao of China
WFM Kreethi Ganta lost to lower seed WCM Shohradova L (TKM) .Tejaswini and Shubhi Gupta, with
2.5 points each, are in joint second position. Pragnya HG and Kheerti Ganta are with 2 points each.
Kanishka S (1 point) and Amulya (0.5 points).
U -18 Girls:
WFM Bhagyashree Patil (2 points) who was in joint lead, lost to Seed No 4 Wikar Martyna (POL).
Keerti Shree Reddy in on 1.5 points and Swara Lakshmi and Sasvatha are on 1 point each.
