India and United States of America drew 2-2 with all four boards ending in draws.  Harikrishna, Sethuraman, Sasikiran and Vidit drew Samuel Shankland, Onischuk, Akobian and Naroditsky. Hungary drew held Olympiad champions China on all four boards to a 2-2 draw.

Upsets continued with Cuba beating Russia and Armenia beating Ukraine 2.5-1.5 respectively.  Egypt drew with its neighbour Israel 2-2 after Samy Shoker shocked Sutovsky on board two.

India, China, Israel and Cuba are leading with three points after two rounds. Seven rounds remain to be played. Top seed Russia are at the bottom with zero points.
