Final Report of 11th National Amateur Chess Championship 2024

                                                                        Chief Arbiter’s Report

11th National Amateur Chess Championship 2024 organized by  Jaipur District Chess Association and supported by Rajasthan Chess Association held at Sawai Maan Singh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan 2024, from 13-17 February 2024. The Tournament was inaugurated  by Mr. Sanjay Chauhan, Chief General Manager, (GAIL),  Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Patron, JDCA, Mr. Ashoke Bhargav, Secretary, Rajasthan Chess Association, Ms. Asha Bhargav, Jt. Secretary, RCA and IA  Asit Baran Choudhury, Chief Arbiter of the Tournament.

Players meeting was arranged just before the starting of tournament. The other necessary technical matters were decided  and discussed &  appeals committee was formed.

Total 645 players (Below 2300, Below 2000, Below 1700 Both Men & Women) ) from 26 different States and orgnisations have taken part in the tournament. The Venue was very beautiful and all amenities extend to all players as well as guardians also.

The tournament was played under swiss system format 9 rounds except Below 2300 Women section (7 Rounds)  as less number of players. International chess set and digital chess clocks were used and one more thing 20 DGT chess board were used for broadcasting live games.

 All the organizer and players were very supportive and cooperate with each other.

 At the end of final round games in 2300 Open Category Harish Sharma of Delhi  clinched the Championship Title & richer by Rs. 20000/- and in women section champion AFM Sanmathi Sree S of TN and rich by 10000/-, in 2000 open section champion Devansh Shah of Maharashra and richer by 16000/- , in women category champion Saniya Rafique Tadavi of Maharshtra and richer by 10000/- and in 1700 open category champion Sheyas of Delhi  and got 12000 and women section champion AFM Asudani Ruhani Raj of Gujrat received 8000/-.

 The tournament was going on smoothly throughout all the rounds . There were no disputes/protests placed before the Appeals’ Committee. All deputy Arbiters, volunteers and all persons related to the event thanks to every one and they  were worked hard during the whole tournament.The Organisers provided tea snacks to all participants and who were present in the hall.

In the valedictory ceremony Mr Rajnish Verma,OSD, LNJ Bhilwara Group, was present as Chief Guest and in function Preside over by  Mr Shreew Shankar, General Manager, GAIL ( India ) Ltd, Others were  present ,Ashok Bhargava, Organising Secretary, Sanjay Sharma, Patron, Jaipur District Chess Association, Dr K L Batra, Sr. VP, Jaipur District Chess Association, Smt Asha Bhargava, Jt Secretary, Rajasthan Chess Asso. were present and  distributed  the prizes to all prize winners.
