Inauguration report of MPL 47th National Women Chess Championship-2022

MPL 47th NATIONAL WOMEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP-2022.

MPL 47th  National Women Chess Championship was inaugurated by the chief guest Prof.Deepak Kumar Behera,Vice-Chancellor,KIIS University in the presence of Sri DebabratBhatta, Secretary, All Odisha Chess Association, Sri Atul Gupta, Joint Secretary, All India Chess Federation, Sri RanjanMohanty, Joint Secretary, All India Chess Federation, Mr.SanatanSahoo, Officer on Special duty, Govt. Of Odisha, Sri Govinda Ch. Mohapatra, President, All Odisha Chess Association and Sri BhabeshMohanty, Treasurer, AOCA here at International Chess Hall, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on 22nd Feburary 2022.

.This Championship attracted 103 players from 22 states, 1 Union Territories and 2 special units which included 5 IMs, 8 WGMs, 10 WIMs and 9 WFMs.  IM Vaishali (TN) was the top seed with the rating 2403. 2nd seed IM Kulkarni Bhakti of Goa was shocked by 52nd seed Mrittika Malllick of West Bengal in 80 moves. Other seeded players sailed smoothly to the next round.
