IM Tania Sachdev Stopped WFM Vaishali R!!!

Ram Ratna 42nd National Women Challengers Chess Championship-2015 is been organized by Diaspora Times on behalf of All India Chess Federation, Maharashtra Chess Association, Thane District Chess Association from 02nd July to 11th July 2015 at Keshav Srushti ,RMP Complex.

The tournament Complies of 104 participants from 18 States and 2 Special Units. The participant compiles of 5 Women Grand Masters, 2 International Masters, 5 Women International Masters, 12 Women Fide Masters.

The Top 8 players will be selected to participate in the forth coming National Women Premier Chess Championship-2015 (National A) which is to be held in the mid of October-2015.

­­­­­The world Under 12 Champion WFM Vaishali R from Tamilnadu has been stopped by IM Tania Sachdev of Air India, the well experienced and India No.4 Player Tania Sachdev.

Detail Report of Round-8 (08.07.2015),

In the top Board No.1 Top Seed and India No.4 IM Tania Sachdev with White Pieces and Vaishali R from TN with a very tough fight started with Benko/Volga Gamvbit , the game lasted for 4 Hours and Vaishali has been stopped by her point , Tania won her game by 34 moves,Joined Vaishali with 7.0pts.

In the Board No.2 Goan WGM Bhakti Kulkarni started with Queens Pawn Opening but WFM Rucha Pujari from Maharashtra converted into a Slav defence Side Variation, the game was a bid good for White in beginning then started oscillating , Finally in favour of Goan Girl , Bhakti Kulkarni with 6.0pts/8.

In the Board No.3 WIM Michelle Catherina from TN starts the game of e4 and Young WIM Goan Player Ivana Maria Furtado defended with Caro-Kann Defence,from the beginning the game was equal for both till 23rd Move , then in the exchange of all major pieces the end game was ended after a very good ending with Rook and Pawn , Michelle won the game in 58 moves and in 5 hrs of play.

In the Board No.4 Nimmy George of Kerala starts with king pawn opening and it was proceeded by WGM Soumya Swaminathan of Maharastra with Classical Sicilian Defense in Opening, but in the middle both players as fought equally in king side and transformed to Queen Side attack and finally ended up in clear plus and point for Soumya Swaminathan , now with 6.0pts/8.

In the Board No.5 the new young player Saina Salonika from Odisha with elo of 1703 fought with white pieces with the well experienced strong WGM Swati Ghate of LIC which Swati Preferred for Closed Sicilian variation which was new typically defended by the young chap and finally game ended in favour of Swati Ghate in 37 Moves.

Top Spots Shared by Vaishali R (TN)and IM Tania Sachdev (AI) with 7.0pts each.

Second Spot with 2 players with 6.5 pts each , WGM Bhakti Kulkarni (Goa), WIM Michelle Catherina(TN)

Third Spot by 3 players with 6.0pts each, WGM Kiran Manisha Mohanty(LIC), WGM Soumya Swaminathan (MAH) and WGM Swati Ghate ( LIC).
