Velpula  Sarayu of Telengana held the current Asian Junior Girls Champion WIM Savitha Shri in the 2^nd round of MPL 47^th National Women Chess Championship here at International Chess Hall, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on  Friday,25^th  Feburary 2022.

Five Share the lead at the end of the third round

IM Vaishali R (TN), IM Sowmya Swaminathan (PSPB  WIM  Chitlange sakshi (MAH), WIM Priyanka Nuttaki (AP) and 39^th seed Velpula sarayu of Telengana share the lead with perfect score at the end of the third round. Third round also was in Velpula Sarayu’s favor to beat WIM Parnali S Dharia of Maharashtra.  Orissa Player Smaraki Mohanty stunned the WGM Kiran Monisha Mohanty of LIC in 24 moves. 15 Players are following the leaders with 2.5 points each.
