Vedant Panesar eyes for top honours

Panesar Vedant (MAH) maintain the lead with 7.5 points closely followed by top-seed FM Mitrabha Guha (WB), Krishnater Kushager (MAH) and Vinay Thomas Abraham (Kerala) with 7 points after nine rounds in the National U-17 Open Chess Championship taking place at Gateway Education Campus, Sonipat, Haryana. The championship is being organized by Haryana Chess Association under the aegis of All India Chess Federation.

Board No.1. Mitrabha Guha (WB)  drew with Panesar Vadant (MAH) in 51 moves.

Board No.2. Om Kharola (MAH)  lost to Krishnater Kushager (MAH) in 43 moves.

At the end of 9th round, Priyanka K and Jyothsna L from Tamil Nadu maintain leads with 7.5 points each. Followed by three players with 6.5 points Tejasvi M (TN), Harshini A (TN) and Bommini Mounika (AP).
