R. Vaishali wins Gold in the Asian Youth Rapid

R Vaishali won the Gold Medal with a convincing all win score in the Under 16 Girls Category of Asian Youth Rapid Chess Championship being played in Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia today.The Chennai girl who had won Gold in the Blitz Championship with an identical score,finished three points ahead of Harshita,who won Silver in the same category.

Overall,India won 8 Medals in the Rapid Championship.The Medal Winners are:Nikhil Magizhnaa,silver in Under 10 Open,Sanskriti Wankhede,Silver in Under 10 Girls,Divya Deshmukh,Silver in Under 12 Girls,Mitrabha Guha,Silver in Under 16 Boys,Varshini,Bronze in Under 18 Girls andKrishna Teja,Bronze in Under 18 Boys.
